4×4 Open Class – 2022 Iowa AMA Series – Round 7 – Murray, Iowa – 3rd Place out of 10 – Can-Am Renegade 850XXC

For the above video: Sitting in 2nd Place in Season Points after 6 Rounds in the 30+ Class at the Iowa ATV Hare Scramble Series (IATVHSS), with no way to win the Class Championship, I decided to move up to the “Pro” 4×4 Open Class and run with the fastest 4×4 guys for Round 7, which was back at Murray “Hog Heaven”, for the third time this Season thanks to some rescheduled races. I just missed the holeshot but got the lead back before going into the woods and led the first lap and a half, rubbed bars with Joey Miklus when he went for a dive bomb pass, that ended up breaking down his machine (pinched injector wire I think?) then Brent Benjegerdes got around on the inside of a somewhat-cheater line, and checked out, followed by Shane Austin. Finished P3 in Class and dropped to 4th or so in Season Points for 30+, but had 2nd by a large gap before switching classes for the last round of the 2022 Season, so great results for the year!
